- 1 BUSINESS DAY CANCELLATION (walks must be cancelled by 3pm on the business day prior. Cancellations for regularly scheduled Monday visits must be cancelled by 3pm on the Friday prior.)
- 1 WEEK CANCELLATION for HOLIDAYS (M-F, 9-3pm).
Payment cannot be refunded for less than 1 business day notice for regular service and less than 1 week for the holidays.
For best coverage, give us 1 week notice. 1-2 weeks for booking on the weekend. 1 month holidays. 🙂
Your furry bundle of joy deserves time and attention, according to a schedule that’s convenient for you. Therefore, we never overbook. Once you’ve contracted our services, we turn business away to accommodate you. Regular rates apply including those times when a walker arrives to find that you don’t need a visit or that your pet isn’t present.
Alternatively, it is extremely common to have two visits taking place in the same area simultaneously. When a Pet Caregiver is scheduled for a visit, any other request in that area for the same time slot is then given to a different Caregiver.
When there is a late cancellation, the pet sitter must be paid for that visit, as they could have been assigned to another client being seen at the same time.

It is important to book early, especially during holidays. Book in advance and save money.
Emergencies happen. Flight cancelled? Need to extend service? We now offer limited after-hours service requests. Email firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject “Emergency”.
*Rush fee: $15
Last minute requests fall into either of the following categories:
-Needs to be scheduled on the same day it was requested.
-Request needs a response the same day.
-Request is made outside regular business hours and/or needs to be resolved within less than 1-business day.
The cost of operation is on the rise. Please help us keep costs low by providing the following: baggies, leash, collar, pee pads and dog license.
Fill out our reservation form online. If services are available we will get back to you within 1-3 business days and we’ll follow up with an invoice shortly thereafter.
We assign in 2-hour windows. This allows us to allot time for transportation or elevator related delays.
Your privacy is important. Our web site is encrypted and we do not sell, or share your personal information. Due to the sensitive information in Time to Pet, scheduling, rescheduling, billing and cancellations go through the Manager. Our Pet Caregivers do not have authorization to bill or schedule. We’re a one stop shop!
Please do not text your service requests. Text messages are stored on one device, the phone. If the phone should be lost, damaged, or reset to default settings, text messages can be lost and or deleted. Please email your request for future services. Emails are stored in a server and can be retrieved from any device. Thank you.
Our Pet Caregivers have visits during the day and looking at their phones may compromise both a pet and the Caregiver’s safety. If they are crossing the street with a pet and answering a text from a client, they can miss oncoming traffic, broken glass, miss medication, etc. Many of our sitters also walk dogs.
Additionally, having all communication streamlined in one place, helps us keep track of your needs, so they are completed in a timely and effective manner. This helps, in the case if your Pet Caregiver gets sick and we need to provide a fill-in. We are a one-stop shop and all communication is easily facilitated through Time to Pet.

Need to go over new notes? No problem! We are happy to follow-up with additional visits as needed.
We encourage you to reserve early for holiday appointments, especially Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s. We begin planning holiday schedules about one month in advance. Although we can accept requests before this time, we cannot confirm your visits until the schedule has been set.
*Holiday rates applied $15. Holiday Late requests (less than 2 weeks notice) subject to an additional $30 Rush fee.
Major credit cards accepted. Billing occurs in advance, every Monday. Check your spam folder.

All services are subject to NYS sales tax of 8.875%
We reserve the right to shorten or cancel a walk should the weather bear a risk to either the pet or walker. This includes but is not limited to hurricanes, flooding, heat wave, high winds, snow storm, NYC emergencies related to COVID or unrest. Remaining time will be spent indoors where allowed. Notifications will go out.
We require 2 complete sets of tagged keys (no makeshift tags accepted). One for our Pet Caregiver, the other on file in case of a lock-out or last minute request. Keys are kept on file for future care. Please tag and label both sets (for security purposes, do NOT write address on tag). Please try out both sets to make sure they work, in advance.
Complete sets include:
–2 building keys (fob/rfid)
–2 apartment keys
If you cannot provide 2 sets of keys a lock box with at least 1 full set will be required. Please check with your building for for lockbox approval.
Having an incomplete set (no entry into the building) means waiting until someone opens the building door, in order to get inside. This cuts into your visit time and further delays other visits that the Pet Caregiver has to go to.
$10 Untagged keys will incur a tagging fee.
$25 plus duplicate fees. Don’t have time to provide 2 sets of keys? We’ll be happy to make a duplicate of your set!

Ongoing visits will be assigned to one Pet Caregiver. However, while rare, situations beyond our control may arise. In the case of an emergency, we may assign a fill-in Pet Caregiver, keeping as close to your schedule as possible. We want to make sure you are always covered!
Please keep notes in Time to Pet up to date, as notes are reviewed in advance.
We ask that you list Pawfect Day as a back-up with your Doorman/management. You will be notified if any changes are necessary.

To the full extent permissible by applicable law, Pawfect Day disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We will not be liable for any damages of any kind arising from the use of any of our services, including, but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, and consequential damages, except for such losses incurred by you directly arising from our sole gross negligence or willful misconduct. In addition, and without limiting the generality of the foregoing waivers and disclaimers, Pawfect Day is not liable for any actions or omissions of third parties that may visit your home while you are away, including, without limitation, friends or relatives that may injure your pets or property.
Terms of service are subject to change at anytime without notice. Any changes will be posted on our website and will supersede any written documents you may have received at the initial meet ‘n’ greet.
